Job Summary: Under the general direction of the Office Manager and Controller, the inventory clerk is responsible for recording new vehicle inventory into the accounting system, tagging new vehicles upon arrival and accounting for dealer trades of new vehicles, assist in the process of obtaining used vehicle titles and providing assistance to the administration as needed. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: These include the following duties; however, other duties may be necessarily performed:

  • Recording all new vehicle inventory into the accounting system
  • Accurately tagging all new vehicle inventory upon arrival
  • Perform all accounting and preparation of paperwork for dealer trades of new vehicles
  • Daily setup new and used vehicle loans on floor plan and daily payoff of new and used vehicle loans on floor plan
  • Assist Controller in reconciling the floor plan
  • Assist Bank when on site for the monthly floor plan
  • Record credit card transactions in the accounting system
  • Assist Title Clerk in processing title transactions
  • Filing and organizing accounting records

Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Education and Experience:  A high school or equivalent is required.  Basic Accounting course or experience is necessary.

Knowledge of: Computer operation, filing procedures, word processing and excel spreadsheets.
